These are the 4 Pillars by which we operate. We aim to fulfill and provide helpful service through each of these pillars in order to make substantial change.
Education
This pillar focuses on preventing eye diseases and problems within our community by educating kids and parents on the importance of eye care. It emphasizes the need to nurture proper eyesight and provides guidance on maintaining eye health. Activities include school and community teachings, blog posts, social media content, and informative posters displayed in schools.
Community Outreach
This pillar highlights our commitment to engaging and uplifting the community by spreading awareness about eye care and encouraging active participation. Eyes for Humanity began by addressing a local issue, and we aim to involve the community by sharing stories, hosting speaker series with eye care professionals, showcasing the latest research, and creating a pledge portal for eye care. We also provide a platform for individuals with eye issues to share their experiences through our Visionary Stories series.
Advocacy
Support
At Eyes for Humanity, we aim to raise awareness of the challenges people face with eyesight and advocate for better eye care education in schools. We want to reduce the risks of sight loss and eye strain caused by excessive screen time. Our efforts include aiming to work with policymakers to make communities more eye-healthy and fundraising for eye care initiatives like providing eyeglasses, eye screenings, and educational materials.
We aim to support those with vision impairments by offering education, relief, and aid through various programs. Our initiatives include collecting and donating eyeglasses, providing eye screenings in underserved areas, and offering braille materials for the visually impaired.
